At the Office of Gender Equality and Equity, our tasks include the advancement of women, gender equality & equity and gender diversity at the university. We provide confidential advice in cases of sexualised harassment, discrimination and violence.

Gender equality and equity at HU

The Gender Equality and Equal Opportunities department is responsible for gender equality, gender equity and gender diversity, and our tasks include the advancement of women and the implementation of gender equality at the university.

Counselling and complaints office in cases of sexualised harassment, discrimination & violence and stalking

As the central women's and equal opportunities officers, we can advise you in all cases of sexualised harassment, discrimination, violence and stalking at HU. As a counselling and complaints office, we would like to support you in an initial - also anonymous - consultation and advise you on the next possible steps. We are subject to legal confidentiality and will not act without your consent. You can reach us by telephone and e-mail. We are happy to arrange a personal appointment (telephone, Zoom, in-person). If you need further assistance - for example a translation into German sign language - please let us know while coordinating the appointment.

Further tasks of the office

The Gender Equality & Equity Office is responsible for gender equality and gender diversity, as well as gender diversity. The Gender Equality Fund is also administered here in the office of the Commission for the Advancement of Women (KFF). In addition, Gender Consulting advises research associations on issues of gender equality and diversity. The office is also responsible for the project coordination of the leadership programme for female professors at the Berlin University Alliance.
