The Family Support Office is the central coordination and contact point for all issues relating to work-life balance or studies-life balance. We support and advise when you are searching for individual solutions regarding your family, studies and career or if you are caring for relatives. Contact us if you have any questions or need help and information.

Our understanding of family

Humboldt-University Berlin regards all relationships as family, where persons take long-term social responsibility for relatives or partners. All parent-child relationships – including single parents, patchwork families and rainbow families – as well as siblings and matrimonial or similar relationships are included.

Counselling and complaints

We support and advise you in your search for individual solutions in relation to family, studies, career and caring for relatives. If you have any questions or need help or information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will treat your enquiry confidentially. Counselling is available in German and English. We can also put you in touch with other internal and external counselling centres. If you need further assistance - for example a translation into German sign language - please let us know while coordinating the appointment.

Further tasks
