In her introductory lecture, Dr Chripa Schneller uses the film to discuss perspectives on how we can work together to combat discrimination and violence at university.
The documentary film "Picture a Scientist - Women in Science" by Ian Cheney portrays three American female scientists in their fight for recognition, respect and equal rights. A biologist, a chemist and a geologist describe their personal experiences with discrimination, sexism and racism - as women in science.
